Moving up! (again)
Social Networking Companies Garner Funding is one of many articles noting the rise (again) of Venture Capital and hype on technology based companies. Social Networks are one of the new babies of this still-not-ready-for-take-off boom.

Human-Controlled Traffic Lights
A few years ago I read about Infra-Red-controlled Traffic Lights in Paris. Apparently someone hacked the system and used a regular remote control to drive around the city without having to stop at traffic signals. This time I read on slashdot that Traffic Light Switchers are coming to the masses. Again there is some plan on the Internet that allows people to build such devices once only available to fire-fighters or police. Now that the system has has served the good guys it’s coming into the bad guys. And critics are again concerned.

I’m a Switcher!
I’ll be leaving Microsoft and joining Apple for the next couple of years. So, yes, I’m a Switcher! I just ordered a new 15″ PowerBook with Superdrive (DVD-RW, CDRW and CD-ROM). I looks great and it performs even better with the new Mac OS X called Panther!

There are two main reasons why I decided to switch: First I needed the convenience of the Windows Desktop with the Programming and Server Power of the Linux. So I thought of Mac Os X which both worlds. Second I really need a challenge concerning learning new computer stuff and I have never worked with Macs. I’ll learn a lot from Apple’s usability concerns and OS practices. Wish me luck with the new machine! How many of you use a Mac?
