I’m in!
I’m now a member of Orkut. Orkut is a Social network from Google. You can join only by invitation which add to it’s special place among Social Networks. Along the same topic I read Thirteen ways to save Orkut speaking of some of the initial problems Orkut is dealing with.

Origin of Uppercase and Lowercase
From this post on Minid Weblog I found this pearl about typograpy. I didnt’ know that:
The term for uppercase and lowercase come from the printer?s cases that were used during the times of type set by hand. The type case had small compartments for each letter, and the case was separated in half, with an upper and lower section. Capitals were put in the upper case because they were less frequently used.
Morning trip
I did long trip to work today. 300 Km from the Algarve to Lisbon. I left Faro with 10 Degrees, passed through Alentejo with 3 and got to Lisbon with 13! Time: 8 am.
Installing Movable Type on OS X
I’m starting to install movable type on my Mac. I found some useul links to follow as this one and this one (best).
I hope to solve all the problems this weblog has been suffering in the past as bad css. Wish me luck!
New Firefox (Old Firebird)
The new Firefox has been released a few days ago. Firefox used to be called Firebird. I’ll be using this browser as my development tool for the next projects. I have discovered 2 excellent extensions:

GeoIP
The GeoIP open source software lets you geo-target banner ads, detect credit card fraud, auto-select country on forms, display native language and currency.

A very useful Introduction to the VC Process gives an overview of the whole process and you even learn what each term mean.
London Tube Map
Geographical correct map of the tube. First I see one of this but it’s maybe be very useful for someone who doesn’t know London. I picked it up on Anders Jacobsen’s weblog.
