Levante Bakery
Batixa has been trying the new Breadmaker. She made the first bread following the recipe book that came with the machine. It was a nice white bread. Yesterday she decided to add some changes to the original recipes. So she cooked an apple cake and it was delicious!
This morning another change in the recipe and another good result. We had Integral Bread for breakfast.
We can now control the quality of the bread we eat at breakfast. It’s an old technology (but a new product) and it’s changing my life-long habit of going out in the morning to buy fresh bread (which I’ll continue to do every once in a while). Great life improvement.
Corien we can now safely say that the breadmaker is a really good buy. The smell of fresh bread in the morning is great and is really worth the euros.
LinkedIn Jobs: The awaited feature
When I joined LinkedIn a few months ago, Orkut was still king of the buzz surounding Social Software. Every one wanted in but no one knew what was it good for.
Now LinkedIn has finally made a step towards usefullness in social software. LinkedIn Jobs was launched a few days ago and has gotten a lot of buzz from the blogging comunity. Being a Business-oriented Social Software was natural that LinkedIn implemented this feature.
Fortunately for LinkedIn but unfortunately for PeopleSoft’s former employees the launch will also benefit from PeopleSoft’s 5.000-jobs layoff with the amount of PR that it will bring along. Lets wait and see how others respond.
Everyday Food Mag
From all the magazines I usually buy I have a few favourites. Everyday Food is the one with the best design, photography and it also has very good content. Every issue has a theme. January for example is fast family-friendly ideas. This issue’s recipes includes a tasty Turkey and Bean Chili and a Pear and Berry Crisp.

Another good and useful section is the tools & techniques where you read among other things some tips on using a Peeper Mill, how to chopp onions or how to cook pasta.
Unfortunatly I cannot find the magazine easily on newsstands. Only one in Lisbon sells it and I have to tell them to keep at least 4 of them for me each month. (4 is number of people close to me that have asked me to buy the magazine for them) otherwise they will sold out very fast.
Breadmaker
Having bought a new home provided friends with lots of nice ideas on what to offer us for Christmas. Among other nice things we’ve received this piece of technology that will certainly make our mornings even better.
