iASummit 2008: Usability and IA Presentations

While doing research to be up-to-date on what’s happening in the usability world I came across the iASummit2008 site. Many of the conference presentations are online and there’s lots of good material on user experience, usability and information architecture.
Update: more great presentations on usability and user experience also available at the Business to Buttons conference page.
A few good examples of what you can find:
- Melissa Matross on Building trust through restricted information: A case study of the Hotwire.com air redesign
- Luke Wroblewski on Content page design best practices
- Bryce Glass on Designing your reputation system in 15 easy steps
- Tingting Jiang on Exploratory search and folksonomy: Exploration paths in social tagging systems
- Leah Buley on How to be a user experience team of one
- Stephen Anderson on Inspiration from the edge: New patterns for interface design
- Christian Crumlish, Christina Wodtke, Andrew Hinton, Gene Smith, Andrew Crow on Panel: Presence, identity, and attention in social web architecture
- Lucas Pettinati on Re-experiencing information: Dealing with user-submitted data
- Peter Morville on Search Patterns
- Gene Smith on Tagging: Five emerging trends
- Dave Cooksey on Taxonomy is user experience
- Jess McMullin on The business of experience: The experience impact framework
- Brandon Schauer on The long wow
- Vera Rhoads on Web site maturity cycles
- Alex Kirtland on Why Markets Love the Internet (Or, The 1 Hour MBA for User Experience Designers and Other Layabouts)
I’ve also got a new book - Designing for the Social Web - written by the author of one of the best blogs about social design, Bokardo. I’ve found it to be very interesting and full of great advice on how to improve the user experience online.
All this soon to be reflected on adegga.
